Job Description Summary

The PennSIVE Center, a group of quantitative experts specializing in imaging data science, is seeking a skilled neuroimaging data analyst. Data analysts play a central role in large-scale projects that seek to understand the healthy brain and neurological and psychiatric diseases. Within these projects, they work in a team environment collaborating closely with a diverse, multi-disciplinary group of faculty and trainees from biostatistics, psychiatry, neurology, radiology, and engineering.

Primary responsibilities for this position include management, processing, and analysis of high-dimensional imaging data. Additional responsibilities will be assigned based on the successful candidate's skills and interests. All analysts additionally lead independent projects where they write first-author manuscripts.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and manage automated image analysis pipelines, including computer programming for image processing.
• Perform manual segmentation analysis of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), involving the manual delineation of structures in images.
• Support in drafting abstracts and manuscripts, and generate results, tables, and figures.
• Create presentation slides using LaTeX and PowerPoint.
• Conduct simulation studies.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on skills and interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, with 2-3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required;
• Experience in biomedical or psychological research or data management preferred;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
