BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY   
The Warehouse Assistant Foreman oversees and directs the daily activities of Warehouse Associates, Material Handlers, and Fleet Coordinator. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and cost-efficient processing of equipment orders and vehicle inventory to meet the operational requirements of the business unit.

 

EDUCATION 
High school diploma or equivalent / associate degree in applicable field is preferred.  


EXPERIENCE 

Requires a minimum of 3 years of related industry experience with at least 1 year of related industry supervisory experience.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that operations are being conducted in compliance with all applicable state/province/provincial and federal regulations.
• Ensure that work is completed in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and stock management of warehouse materials

• Develop and implement warehouse/fleet procedures and policies to ensure efficiency and accuracy and implement safety standards and training to reduce accidents and injuries.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping using SAP.
• Ability to review forecast data to develop resource plans to effectively meet established weekly/monthly demand

• Train others to establish processes to resolve issues, introduce hardware and software solutions, and provide support to system operators.
• Collaborate with other departments, including Production, Maintenance, I&E, Purchasing, Supply Chain, AP, and Administration to develop goals and objectives and work processes and procedures to improve efficiency of warehouse/fleet practices

• Conducts physical inventory audits comparing results to SAP inventory and reconcile any differences
• Perform regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Liaise with the Corporate Supply Chain group to understand best purchasing practices and manage inventory.

• Mentor, train, review, and develop personnel including hiring and performance management.

• Always demonstrate safe and ethical behavior and has an obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected


OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Oil and gas industry experience preferred
• Practice safe work habits at all times
• Demonstrate commitment to Devon Attributes

• Able to work within a team environment
• Able to travel and work extended hours 
• Position requires operation of Company vehicles, therefor incumbent must maintain a clean driving record and adhere to Company policies

• Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• SAP experience preferred
