Job Description: Accounting Associate

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team in a fully remote capacity. The successful candidate will provide critical support to the Sr. Accountant in executing monthly accounting processes while ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with core accounting functions including account reconciliations, journal entries preparation, and detailed account analysis
• Reconcile bank statements promptly and systematically follow up on all outstanding checks and reconciling items monthly
• Prepare and distribute weekly aging reports, supplementary schedules, and financial statements in accordance with specific client requirements
• Monitor accounts receivable metrics and oversee the maintenance and investigation of AR items exceeding 30 days past due
• Serve as a point of contact to resolve vendor, client, and customer inquiries professionally and efficiently
• Review vendor statements, verify invoice coding and approvals, and maintain proper audit trails for all transactions
• Support cash management procedures to ensure optimal cash flow and financial stability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines
• Experience with accounts receivable management preferred

Estimated total compensation for this position:

62,000.00 – 68,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
