The Patient Services Greeter serves as the welcoming face of the clinic, providing a warm and professional first impression. This position is responsible for directing and assisting patients in a friendly, efficient manner, ensuring a positive start to their visit. The Greeter is the first point of contact for all incoming patients and visitors.  


Full time: Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

· Greets all patients promptly, pleasantly, and helpfully, ensuring they receive the highest level of customer service.

· Escorts patients and directs customers. 

· Keeps patients informed of any delays throughout the day.

· Provides and promotes high customer service to internal and external clientele. 

· Keeps lobby, coffee bar, and workstation clean, organized, and stocked. 

· Receives and restocks breakroom supplies weekly.

· Provides coverage for breaks and lunches for patient transport and receptionist.

· Exhibits a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with internal and external clients.

· Maintains confidentiality of all patients. 

· Complies with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) while performing all duties. 

· Offers ideas and participates in the implementation of such ideas to improve quality and/or customer satisfaction, reduce costs, or improve the work environment.

· Maintains a positive attitude and adheres to our Cooper purpose and core values. 

· Follows all Clinic policies and procedures as designated by the Manager and policy procedures manual. 

· Completes duties on site with consistent, regular, and reliable attendance. 

· Accomplishes other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities 

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

· Strong organizational, time management and attention to detail skills.

· Possess problem-solving skills, be self-motivated, and strive for professionalism.

· Basic knowledge of medical terminology. 

· Ability to work effectively and consistently with limited direct supervision. 

· Flexible and adaptable as each day may not look like the previous. 

· Compelling ability to recommend and educate clientele on programs and services. 

· Strong work ethic.  

  

Education and/or Experience  

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

· Experience in customer service environment and have a desire to provide hospitality.

· Previous experience in a medical office, physician practice, hospital, or acute care setting preferred.

· Experience including direct patient contact, computer usage, appointment scheduling, and data entry preferred.

· Previous administrative and/or clerical experience and/or training preferred.


Physical Requirements

· Must be able to lift up to and occasionally move up to 30 pounds.

· Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and/or sitting at a desk.

· Comfortable being in the outside elements.
