General Ledger Accountant (Country Expert)

<h3>Job Description</h3><p><em>Are you a Senior or Chief Accountant and would you like to move to a GL expert role? Do you know CZ GAAP and CZ tax standards? Then this might be a role for you!</em></p><p><em>We are looking for a new member belonging to our Finance Shared Service Center which processes Accounting for the Allegro Group in CZ, SK, PL, and HU. Your key role would be to provide expertise with regard to the Czech accounting and tax standards, and you will be #1 person holding the knowledge of CZ Accounting. For further details, see below.</em></p><p><strong>What does this role involve?</strong></p><ul><li>GL posting, which will include handling all journal entries</li><li>Posting monthly provisions, accruals, payroll, and other operations related to monthly closing</li><li>Processing of fixed assets and also track and calculate their depreciation or amortization</li><li>Ensuring the company's compliance with various tax regulations</li><li>Managing accruals, provisioning, and allocation recognition</li><li>Conducting regular sub-ledger and accounts reconciliation</li><li>Confirming IC balances</li><li>Actively participating in the month-end closing process on a company-wide level</li><li>Preparing financial statements and house management reports as required</li><li>Providing support during financial audits</li><li>Compiling National Bank and Statistical reports to fulfill the company's statutory obligations</li></ul><p><strong>What can we offer to you in return?</strong></p><ul><li>A highly independent role where you can become a country expert</li><li>Benefit Plus meal vouchers, which you can use in a lot of cool companies, or you can choose a meal voucher lump sum</li><li>Do you want to fulfill your creative or traveling dream? We will support you in everything!</li><li>We value our employees, so you won't miss the reward for your years of service</li></ul><p><strong>This job is for you, if:</strong></p><ul><li>You speak Czech (C1-C2 level) and English (B2+)</li><li>You are familiar with CZ GAAP (Czech Accounting Standards) or IFRS</li><li>You have at least 3 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or at least 5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant</li><li>You have experience with preparing financial statements</li><li>You have experience in VAT settlement and input/output VAT declaration preparation</li><li>You have experience in reporting to the tax office, Intrastat and Central Bank</li><li>You are familiar with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace</li><li>You have good knowledge of Excel (functions and pivot tables)</li><li>You have good time-management skills and you are self-motivated and able to prioritize your tasks effectively</li><li>You thrive in a fast-paced environment</li><li>You have a good eye for detail</li><li>You speak Czech flawlessly and you have full business proficiency in English</li><li><strong>Do you want to get to know us better?
