Summary
The Director of Enterprise Project Delivery, IT Architecture & Compliance is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the enterprise Project Management Office (PMO), the IT Architecture team, and SOX compliance efforts. This individual ensures successful cross functional delivery of technology initiatives, establishes and maintains scalable and secure IT architectural standards, and enforces adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements (especially SOX). This role is critical in aligning IT strategy with business goals while managing risk, enabling innovation, and maintaining operational excellence.
What you will do
- Project & Portfolio Management (PMO Oversight)
- Lead and mature the PMO to drive consistent project delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Oversee project portfolio governance, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, on-time/on-budget delivery, and value realization.
- Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms for executive stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop project managers and program leads.
- IT Architecture Oversight
- Direct the development and implementation of enterprise-wide architecture standards, roadmaps, and reference models.
- Ensure architectural integrity, security, scalability, and alignment with business needs across applications, data, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with engineering and business leaders to evaluate emerging technologies and modernization opportunities.
- SOX and IT Compliance Management
- Ensure IT controls and compliance practices align with SOX requirements and industry standards (e.g., NIST, COBIT).
- Partner with internal/external auditors, finance, and legal to prepare for audits and remediate findings.
- Integrate compliance and risk management into project and architectural practices to proactively mitigate risk.
- Leadership & Strategic Alignment
- Serve as a key member of the IT leadership team and advisor to the CIO.
- Lead cross-functional teams and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Align IT initiatives with business strategies, ensuring scalability, compliance, and ROI.
What you must have
- 10 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; 8 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant progressive experience.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT project delivery, architecture, and/or compliance functions.
- Strong understanding of SOX and internal/external audit practices.
- Experience managing enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
- Proven success in leading large-scale projects, technology transformations, and compliance programs.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Certifications preferred: PMP, TOGAF, CISA, or CISSP.
