Summary:The Senior Project Manager works with executive and director level business leaders to manage projects including process and governance for various departments aligning with the strategic vision of the organization. The SPM position works within the Project Management Office. Leadership skills, effective communication, proficiency with PMI methodology and tools, and emotional intelligence are needed for this role.
Hybrid Role that does require weekly presence at the office located in Orlando, FL
Responsibilities
•Participate in the Demand Management process
•Strong business analysis skills and acumen required to assess, interpret, and drive business decisions
•Determine and define project scope and objectives
•Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
•Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
•Determine KPIs to measure success of the project
•Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, dependencies, risks, adjustments, and progress
•Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
•Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
•Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
•Create presentations to support program/project using AI
•In some cases, create and deliver training and communications related to program/project
•Conduct project management activities in support of ABC business process improvement
•Participate in the Phase Gate Process with the VP of the PMO
•Provide Tools Management in support of PMO methodology
•Manage cross-functional teams, project timelines, and cross-project dependencies to ensure acceptable delivery by the sponsor and all stakeholders
•Monitor and manage project financials, scope, and schedules to ensure project stays aligned with all sponsor requirements and specifications
•Generate, validate, and distribute timely status reports, time usage reports, and expense reports as required according to the methodology
•Manage day-to-day project interaction, set, and manage stakeholder expectations, develop rapport with sponsor, their personnel and other project stakeholders
•Work independently and collectively across multiple teams to achieve common goals and successfully complete project deliverables
•Other responsibilities as requested by the PMO Director
Job Requirements
Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education
•Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
•10+ years of project management, traditional, hybrid, and agile experience
•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
•CSM, DASM, PMI-BA certification preferred
•Articulation skills and strong verbal and presentation skills
•Proven ability to solve problems creatively
•Strong familiarity with project portfolio management and enterprise resource management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
•Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
•Excellent analytical skills
•Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
•Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
•Ability to influence and work with people at all levels
•Commensurate education plus experience that creates an equivalent background may be considered in lieu of 10+ years of direct project management experience
•Experience in PMO operations
•Working knowledge of PMI processes
•Outstanding communication skills at all levels of the organization, from C-level to peer staff
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics, PowerApps, Power Automate, OneNote, Outlook, Project for the Web, Azure DevOps, and Office 365 tool proficiency
•Data Governance and Knowledge Management experience a plus
•Retail experience and business process design knowledge are a plus
