Compensation includes a base salary of $79,400.00 - $119,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.Job Description
- Supports Carrier account team by fielding and replying to quote requests from assigned carrier customers within assigned product and serviceability types.
- Supports Carrier account team by processing CIRs in support of broadband sales and fulfillment.
- Ensures delivered quotes are accurate and in line with the strategy defined by the National Carrier Account Team and Sales Strategy leadership.
- Ensures internal and external systems are updated in a timely manner to ensure timely and accurate communication with customers and partners.
- Analyzes serviceability to ensure the pricing is applied correctly and responses fit within predefined guardrails.
- Verifies that service pricing reflects pricing associated with Master Service Agreements(MSAs).
- Works with CAM and National Account Team to assist in responding to large RFPs. Analyzes serviceability, initiates CIRs as needed, and inputs approved pricing within assigned product and serviceability types.
- Performs assessment to determine if capital required for sales opportunities meet provided thresholds and escalates as needed.
- Coordinates requests to customer to clarify or obtain additional information required to accurately and successfully quote requested services.
- Tracks all activities, transactions, and communications with customers.
- Cultivates relationships with customers to form a partnership within their area of responsibility to provide excellent service and develop future business opportunities.
- Acts as Subject Matter Expert within functional area for process and system initiatives.
- May provide back up to Carrier Account Specialists.
- Provides analysis and feedback to Sales Strategy leadership to help inform pricing and product decisions.
- Attends job-related training to increase knowledge of Cox and competitor services. Is knowledgeable of Cox Ethernet Access, DIA and WBI solutions, customer premise equipment, telecommunications fundamentals, and sales skills; attends strategic and/or development meetings with local and national sales teams.
Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years’ experience in a related field
- Experience in telecommunications industry required
- Previous experience with Broadband Network Design principles and Operations
- Requires 6 months’ work experience using Windows-based PCs, Microsoft Office
- Excellent skill in applied learning, building relationships, building the sales team, written communication, competitive awareness, expanding and advancing opportunities, formal presentation skills, high impact communication, initiating action, continuous learning, PC skills, product knowledge and technical platform, sales disposition, sales skills, steering sales opportunities, strategy execution, and sustained customer satisfaction in order to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
Preferred
- Familiarity with Broadband Network Architectures such as HFC and PON.
- BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired
- 1 or more years of successful business-to-business outside sales or account development experience
- 1 or more years experience with Carrier Network Design principles and Operations
- Previous experience with Telcordia Interexchange Carrier guidelines (for Carrier/Wholesale role)
