About the role

About Us

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls and the leading authority on their healthy development. Millions of Girl Scout alums across the country and the world have gone on to achieve incredible things and make a tremendous impact in fields ranging from public policy, medicine, journalism, and athletics to international relations, science, technology, art, and entertainment.

As a mission-driven organization, Girl Scouts of the USA champions girls as they explore their worlds, try new things, and develop courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place. From stargazing during a first overnight camping trip to building robots, navigating a rocky hiking trail, working together on a community project, and learning about the importance of environmental stewardship, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can unapologetically be themselves. As they rise to meet new challenges, they also discover the issues that matter most to them. Along the way, they learn the power of friendship, connection, and teamwork.

Girl Scouts are doers, innovators, problem-solvers, creators, and dreamers, and the GSUSA team is here to center, support, and inspire them, working with 111 local councils across the country and USA Girl Scouts Overseas to deliver our life-changing Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

The Senior Project Manager leads complex, enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives and programs by translating strategy into actionable, integrated delivery plans. This role blends  project and program management with strong business analysis and change integration capabilities—shaping problem definition, eliciting and structuring requirements, and driving coordinated execution across multiple workstreams.

The role partners closely with initiative owners and stakeholders to define outcomes, assess business and process impacts, and ensure solutions are not only delivered, but adopted and driving measurable value across GSUSA.

Essential Responsibilities

Lead initiative planning, problem definition, business analysis and solution structuring

  • Partner with Initiative Owner to define problem statement, objectives, success measures, and business outcomes for assigned initiatives
  • Lead development of initiative charter, business case, and scope definition, including clear articulation of value, risks, and dependencies
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, process impacts, and user needs to inform solution design and delivery approach
  • Develop and maintain integrated initiative roadmap, milestones, and KPIs, ensuring alignment to transformation priorities and interdependencies across workstreams
  • Ensure change, adoption, and stakeholder impacts are embedded into planning from the outset
  • Structure and manage initiatives as integrated programs where applicable, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams, projects, and contributing teams

Drive end to end delivery, execution, and outcome alignment

  • Lead day-to-day execution of initiatives, ensuring work is progressing against defined scope, milestones, and success criteria
  • Translate business objectives into coordinated plans across multiple workstreams and teams, ensuring alignment, sequencing, and integration of deliverables
  • Continuously refine requirements and solution direction based on stakeholder input, data, and evolving business needs
  • Identify, manage, and resolve risks, issues, and interdependencies, removing blockers and escalating with recommended actions as needed
  • Ensure solutions being delivered are aligned to defined business outcomes and operational realities, not just technical or functional completion
  • Drive integration across workstreams, ensuring dependencies are managed, sequencing is optimized, and the program delivers cohesive business outcomes

Drive stakeholder alignment, change integration, engagement, and adoption

  • Actively engage stakeholders
