About the role
Responsibilities:Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain web and desktop applications using the .NET framework (ASP.NET, .NET Core). Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and secure.Code Review and Quality Assurance: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Conduct code reviews and perform thorough testing to ensure high-quality software.Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions.Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain database schemas. Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance.Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve software defects and issues. Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, design specifications, and user guides.Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, QA engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality software solutions. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies. Continuously seek opportunities to improve development processes and application performance.API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs to support front-end applications and third-party integrations.Security Compliance: Ensure applications adhere to security best practices and comply with relevant regulatory requirements. Address security vulnerabilities and implement necessary safeguards.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.3+ years of experience in software development using the .NET framework.Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and related technologies.Strong understanding of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular or React).Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and ORM technologies (e.g., Entity Framework).Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Experience with RESTful API design and development.Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and containerization (e.g., Docker) is a plus.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.Certification in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) is preferred.
