Collins Aerospace is on the hunt for a dynamic and driven Principal Engineer Representative to provide top-tier technical support for our advanced systems on Boeing Commercial and Defense aircraft throughout the Puget Sound Region. You'll serve as the technical liaison at Boeing's Puget Sound facilities, engaging in a comprehensive range of on-site engineering activities. Your responsibilities will span from overseeing technical aspects of both commercial and defense aircraft, including final assembly and flight tests, to acting as the quality-focused Engineer on-site. What You Will Do

  • Technical interface with the customer to resolve issues impacting aircraft operations and can expect to speak on technical matters during program reviews, status meetings, and other formal and informal interactions with the customer.
  • Duties shall include troubleshooting of Collins systems/components, analyzing failure data, directing Customer repair activities, and assisting in aircraft testing.
  • Duties include supporting flight test and lab activities at Boeing labs testing Collins supplied products on existing programs and new upcoming programs.
  • Provide Technical & Quality support to Boeing Commercial and Defense teams.
  • Onsite Team provides technical and Quality Delegation support across all Collins Aerospace Business Units.
  • Working in a safe manner adhering to all company EH&S Policies and Procedures.
  • Using specialized GSE, perform aircraft LRU testing.
  • First line Troubleshooting, Failure reporting and corrective action coordination with Engineering groups.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Perform hardware & software upgrades
  • Repair/rework hardware under approved instructions and provide quality signoff CofC.
  • Manage many tasks simultaneously
  • Strong focus on customer responsiveness & relationship

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Aircraft experience with rework/repair of mechanical and electrical LRUs/LRMs per CMM documentation, configuration management requirements, controls diagnostics, software installation/upgrades and troubleshooting at FAL.
  • Prior Experience working in lab environment working Hardware/Software Integration
  • Good knowledge of Aerospace standards
  • Knowledge of ARINC 429, ARINC 664 and CAN communication protocols
  • Experience in post flight processing techniques
  • Knowledge of EICAS & Avionic systems
  • General experience with hardware design preferred, with quality credentials
