Job Description

Responsible for the development of database and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting solutions. Gather inputs for solutions by studying business requirements and interviewing stakeholders. Design data management solutions. Define the warehouse data structures, including fields, data types, and relationships. Map data from client source systems, data warehouses, internal data, and third-party tools. Develop Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) process including source mapping, logical transformations, and target. Create functional and technical documentation for the solution. Depending on the complexity of the solution, such documentation could include some or all of the following components: business, data, and technology architecture; workflows; data structures; input definitions; output requirements; logic/transformation/mapping; interfaces with external tools (BI, reporting, campaign management, analytics environment); explanation of how the various components will solve the business problems; and risk analysis. Support internal and client users to maximize value from the data warehouse and associated tools.

Qualifications

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information sciences, or a closely related quantitative field. 8 years of relevant professional experience, to include: 5 years of experience with ETL architecture and big data architecture; 5 years of experience designing data management solutions; 3 years of experience with scripting languages (Python, SQL, or an equivalent); 3 years of experience with project management involving software engineering, data warehouse development, data engineering, and business intelligence.
