This skilled multitasker will manage the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities of the warehouse, ensuring that quality and safety standards are met or exceeded. The warehouse manager must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate order fulfillment, and track shipping times for millions of product orders every year. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal and by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and leading operational goals.
- Ensure warehouse operations systems and standard processes are followed for product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods.
- Train and lead the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
- Oversee daily operations while controlling and running inventory and logistics.
- Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and implementing standards and procedures and by aligning with legal regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Global Customer Success, Fulfillment, and Implementation to evaluate and enhance business processes and systems.
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team and lead the flow and quality of work to improve efficiency and minimize overtime.
- Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and be responsible for general maintenance when vital.
- Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention.
- Oversee and run logistics for transporting products to customers and company faciliteam membersstakeholders to capture and document business requirements for system enhancements and improvements.
- Fulfill other assigned duties as required.
Skills and Experience
- Associate degree (or equivalent) in logistics or supply chain management
- Three or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees.
- Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
- Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in system analysis and process evaluation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments effectively.
- Well-organized and driven team player capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective solution identification and implementation.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, and other relevant tools.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics or supply chain management
- Proficiency with Great Plains ERP for warehouses
- License to operate a forklift.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language.
