Job Summary:   

Prairie Farms Dairy, Battle Creek operates as a dairy manufacturing plant and distribution center that covers the whole state of MI and some of the surrounding states. We make dairy products that are then distributed to retail outlets, warehouses, hospitals, correctional facilities, retirement homes, food service warehouses, schools and colleges throughout Michigan. 

 

As a Customer Service Representative you are responsible for assisting customers with product orders and inquiries in a swift, proficient and friendly manner. Address all concerns and product issues in a professional and positive manner. Display an ability to quickly gain customer trust by handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls while seeking to create a positive experience for each customer.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following:

• Perform a variety of order entry and customer service related responsibilities according to established policies and procedures
• Receive and process customer orders daily via phone, fax, email, web order, EDI transmissions
• Manage multiple call desks, enforce cut-off deadlines and minimum delivery amounts
• Answer customer questions, escalate complains and special customer requests to appropriate personnel
• Understand and strive to meet or exceed call center metrics.
