Role Summary: The Logistics Coordinator/Dispatch role is the operational link between the organization, our customers, and logistics. The primary responsibilities of this position include planning, organizing, and supervising the day-to-day activities of drivers and equipment in each geographical sector. The Logistics Coordinator has a deep understanding of the internal and external customers’ needs and limitations and uses that knowledge and the resources available to ensure efficient operations within four (4) key focus areas: Safety, Service, Productivity, and Cost Management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold & maintain the highest standards of the Company’s mission, vision, & core values.
- Lead by example and ensure team compliance in the adherence of all Company policies, processes and procedures in accordance with the Employee Manual, Safety Manual, Department Manuals, etc.
- Provide effective leadership and work efficiently towards problem solving and resolution of conflicts among drivers, customers, and/or leadership.
- Direct the daily assignment of drivers and truck fleet through dispatch, route, and equipment usage planning.
- Maintain situational awareness of the entire logistics landscape. Be available 24/7/365 to coordinate operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service through timely communication.
- Maintain maintenance standards in conjunction with the Fleet Manager including records and vehicle inspection reports per DOT requirements.
- Represent 101 in dealing with new and existing customers and set accurate billing rates for all parties in the Company’s designated systems.
- In conjunction with the EH&S Manager and the VP of Logistics, provide training to employees related to DOT, FMCSA regulations, and 101 safety practices and policies, being proactive to ensure on-going compliance.
- Make critical decisions regarding efficient and effective operations, as well as, determining appropriate responses to urgent and emerging situations.
- Attend all Company meetings and training courses as required. Mentor & train teammates to allow for improved recruitment and retention.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of dispatch or logistics coordination experience in a transportation or industrial environment required.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business preferred.
- Experience with fleet scheduling, route optimization, and load planning, highly desirable.
- Proven experience managing communications and expectations with CDL drivers and fleet operations.
- Proficiency in dispatching software, TMS, GPS tracking, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and compliance and driver hours of service rules.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships.
- Able to maintain cross-functional collaboration with various departments and teams.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time-management and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, solve problems quickly, and remain calm under pressure.
- Capable of analyzing delivery schedules, tracking KPIs, and adjusting plans as needed to meet deadlines.
- Must demonstrate leadership, accountability, and adaptability to meet operational demands.
- Valid driver’s license required
