About the role
This internship provides hands on experience in a dynamic community and media relations environment, offering skill development that is highly valued in today’s market—particularly within the financial services industry. The intern supports staff in executing a wide range of community and media relations initiatives, including collaboration with nonprofits across all regions to identify partnership and engagement opportunities.
Key responsibilities include assisting with the planning of community fundraising campaigns and charitable foundation events, working alongside the Volunteer Corps to coordinate and execute community activities, and contributing to the writing and distribution of news releases, photos, and video content for both traditional media and internal communications.
Additional duties may be assigned to help advance our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and uphold our organizational Values.
Qualifications
Must be pursuing either a Bachelor’s or Masters Degree. Current student with coursework in communications and/or public relations leading to a degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related degree. Knowledge of AP writing style. Experience using Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe InDesign or Asana is preferred but not required. Experience writing, proofreading and editing content for several formats. Detail oriented and highly organized. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Basic knowledge of communications tools and techniques. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Graphic design experience helpful. Possess basic photography skills. Able to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines. Excellent Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
