JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining websites using Drupal and WordPress as primary platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of back-end technologies, integration with enterprise systems such as Everbridge, Workday, and Banner, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, user-centric digital experiences.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the back-end of college websites built on Drupal and WordPress platforms.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of back-end functionalities with user interfaces.
  • Integrate and manage enterprise systems, including Everbridge, Workday, and Banner, ensuring smooth data exchange and system compatibility.
  • Design and implement APIs and web services to support various institutional needs.
  • Ensure website performance, scalability, and security by following best practices and conducting regular updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and errors in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular testing and quality assurance to maintain the integrity and reliability of digital platforms.
  • Stay updated on emerging web development trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance the college’s digital presence.
  • Provide documentation, training, and technical support to internal teams as needed.
  • Complete all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience as a back-end developer, with a strong portfolio of Drupal and WordPress projects.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of database management systems, including MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience integrating and working with enterprise systems such as Everbridge, Workday, and Banner.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong knowledge of web security principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
