Job Description
Summary
The Senior Manager of Central Shops Ride Vehicle Overhaul is responsible for all aspects of the ride vehicle overhaul program, ensuring ride vehicle compliance with all internal/external requirements and agencies. The Senior Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, strategic and operational planning, resource planning, scope development, contracts, scheduling, tracking, reporting, vendor management, ride venue integration/collaboration, training, budgets, and the development of their team. The Senior Manager plays a critical role in program and policy development. It is the Senior Manager’s responsibility to ensure practices and procedures reflect performance criteria set forth by the Department and to meet the goals and objectives of the department at large.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for and oversees the overall operation of the Central Shops Ride Vehicle Overhaul Department to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Develops annual budgets and operating plans to support ride vehicle overhauls to meet compliance dates.
- Develops budgets to support the operation/maintenance/repairs of Central Shops facilities and spaces.
- Develops funding proposals and implements initiatives for programs to ensure the continuous delivery of services and to enhance system reliability and operational readiness.
- Maintains the financial acumen to manage all the department’s needs and budget.
- Ensures employees are apprised of program plans and changes in a timely manner through team meetings, notices, email, etc.
- Ensures best practices are in place – with effective participant assessment, relevant program delivery - so that participant goals are met.
- Actively leads or participates in any of the following: Financial Management, Legal Matters, Contingency Planning
- Responsible for the strategic oversight for all maintenance, inspection, and technical operations of the ride vehicle overhaul shop.
- Oversees document control process; ensures proper documenting of program activities; ensures reporting is completed as required; ensures that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of USH.
- Works closely with internal departments to identify and correct operational issues quickly.
- Provides interface between all Technical Services, Park Operations, Entertainment Department, Creative Department, EH&S and Agencies.
- Continuously communicate all aspects of Safety, Budget, Schedule, and Issue Resolution to Upper Management.
