Five Below Summer Internship Program is ON! Our limited open positions for Summer 2025 focus on company strategic initiatives in the exciting environment of value-driven, fun-focused retail. Location:
In conjunction with our home office (WowTown)'s current Ways of Working, we intend to offer a hybrid program for our interns, ensuring both a flexible and immersive experience. All applicants should plan to be in the Philadelphia area and have transportation/access to our Home Office throughout the entirety of the program.
Internship Details:
10 weeks: June 2nd- August 8th
Full time – 40 hours/wk
Paid – $17/hr
Greater Philadelphia location: approximately 3 days per week in our home office, located in Old City, Philadelphia
Hands on, results driven projects. No coffee fetching here!

Position Overview:
Our IT Security intern will assist in evaluating privileged identity management solutions for our organization's administrative accounts and system IDs. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the cybersecurity field, specifically in the areas of privileged access/identity management (PAM/PIM), product evaluation, and procurement lifecycle processes. This intern will work closely with our IT Security team to assess current practices and explore more effective, efficient, and cost-effective solutions to protect our administrative accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in evaluating privileged identity management (PIM) platforms that manage administrative accounts and system IDs.
Conduct research and provide insights on potential solutions for privileged account management.
Develop and maintain a list of potential vendors and solutions.
Engage with vendors to socialize success criteria and evaluate product capabilities.
Participate in requirements gathering, product evaluation, and recommendation development.
Assist in conducting proof of concept (PoC) exercises to assess potential solutions.
Gain a deep understanding of the procurement lifecycle in IT security, including the importance of evaluating solutions based on security, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Work closely with team members to document findings, prepare reports, and present recommendations.
Contribute to day-to-day responsibilities within the department.
Qualifications:
Must be actively enrolled as a rising Junior, Senior, Grad Student or recent Grad with a background in IT Security, Computer Science or related field.
Those studying under an associate’s, certificate, or similar program may be considered if coursework and skills fit the individual project requirements
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products & remote meeting software
