The identified Research Scientist will engage in:

- Initiating and leading research and development in the areas of STEM doctoral student organizational climate, including sexual harassment climate and perceptions held by students with disabilities

- preparing research proposals for development and continuation of various research areas - establishing partnerships with external collaborators

- collaborating, if/when appropriate, with faculty, graduate and undergraduate students in the Department of Engineering Education or College of Engineering

- serving as Principal Investigator (PI) or co-Principal Investigator (co-PI) on externally funded research grants or contracts

- initiating, sustaining, and concluding sponsored research projects - coordinating analysis of research findings

- preparing reports for sponsoring agencies

- preparing journal articles and making presentations at conferences and other professional events

- engaging in departmental service related to research activities

Additional Information:

Required: Resume & Cover Letter Required: Ph.D. in engineering education, educational psychology, or a related area of study; experience conducting robust social science research; demonstrated ability as a competent and productive researcher (e.g., journal publications, conference presentations/proceedings, and externally funded grants).

Desired: Extensive experience examining STEM doctoral student organizational climate; experience as PI or co-PI on externally funded research awards.

Salary range: $90,000-101,000 annually.

The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
