Job Overview
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities
*Maintain the buildings grounds, and ensure equipment is in good safe condition, operating efficiently and economically to promote maximum longevity.
*Plan and implement building alterations.
*Work with contractors to achieve the best results for SC-Spokane.
*Maintain the level of supplies needed by the maintenance department to perform routine maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
*Participatein and conduct drills to improve the readiness of the hspital staffin the case of internal and external disaster situations. Perfrom safety inspections.
*Participate in positive and effective communications; demonstrate flexibility to change as required; promote inter/intra department teamwork; work efficiently and demonstrate integrity.

Qualifications
Education
*High School Diploma/GED
Experience
*Hospital preventative maintenance (1yr)
COVID-19 Vaccination required.
Certifications/Licensures
*State Drivers license in which facility is located required
*City of Spokane 3rd class boiler license is required within 12 months of empoyment and maintained annually
Knowledge and Skills
* Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language, ability to understand and follow specific verbal/ written instructions
