Job Description:
The Operations Technical Support Specialist is responsible for gathering and controlling all aspects of departmental documentation maintenance. This includes processing daily data integrity and high-volume component master data for parts generated by engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing engineering.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supports department by collecting and maintaining technical documentation
- Verifies document accuracy and completeness
- Ensures documents are maintained as per policy
- Resolves discrepancies in files
- Implements processes for approval, distribution and modification
- Oversee component master data in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) workflows to ensure that data is correct
- Retrieve data in ERP to produce documents for printed packets of drawings and routings for machining and assembly distribution
- Process changes to components and engineering records and ensure that changes follow required standards
- Finalize and store documentation for internal and external customers
- Respond to requests for documentation for job books, drawings and prints
- May create ERP standard operating practices and prepare reports as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of administrative experience is preferred
- Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) systems are a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally
- Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
- Travel by car occasionally
