7am - 7pm/ Full Time/ 36 Hours
A very fast-paced, progressive nursing unit with high patient turnover. We boast of staff who take pride in caring for bariatric patients as well as patients with artificial airways. Outstanding customer service to all patients.
- Typically, Cardiology Medical Patient Care, post-cardiac Cath, stenting, pacemakers, CHF, and cardiac management
- Multifunctional support team with a sustained commitment to quality improvement & evidenced-based practice. Unit Director, Charge Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Bedside Nurses as quality and safety champions
- Advanced practice provider support on day and night shift
- Shared Governance Model-Unit Practice Council
- Collaborative team approach. Modified Structured Interdisciplinary Bedside Report involving the Charge Nurse, Bedside RN, Pharmacy, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, Nurse Technician, and Therapy
- Close collaboration with respiratory therapy and speech language pathology
- Commitment to professional nurse development
- Airway patients must be assigned to appropriate zoned room.
- Unit specific acuity tool for safe patient assignments.
Specialty: ENT, Bariatrics, and General Surgery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing Required
- Two years experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration.
- Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- Certification preferred.
- BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
- If promoted internally or hired externally, the incumbent must complete UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, completion of formal preceptor training workshop and enrollment in LEAP course.
