Sentara Martha Jefferson is hiring a Patient Care Supervisor - Registered Nurse for a Flexi/PRN, Rotating shift in Charlottesville, VA!

The Patient Care Supervisor is responsible and accountable for administratively managing the hospital as the representative for the administrator on call. Possesses proficient clinical skills and serves as a resource to nursing staff, physicians, and the public. Coordinates and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and efficient patient placement. Makes administrative decisions (in consultation with administrator on call, as needed) in regards to potential or actual problematic situations involving the hospital. May be responsible to coordinate patient care resources. This position is primarily within our Central Float Pool and able to float between units as needed for additional leadership or coordination with multidisciplinary teams. The Central Float Pool at Sentara Martha Jefferson is hospital specific and assists our IMCU, Medical/Surgical units, ED, and ICU areas primarily.

Requirements:

• De-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire.
• BSN required.
• Must be able to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to resolve problems in an efficient and caring manner.
• Demonstrated leadership skills through effective work coordination, management of resources, and participation in goal accomplishment.
• ACLS is required within 1 year of hire.
• Registered Nurse Licensure
• 2 years of acute care experience required.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Leadership experience required.
