About the role:

Are you passionate about leveraging technology to drive business growth? At Samsara, we're looking for a dynamic individual to lead our Growth Engineering team and help scale our self-serve motion. You’ll use data to uncover new opportunities, drive customer acquisition, and build seamless online experiences that empower customers to discover, try, and buy our products on their own. With expertise in modern web technologies, Python, and JavaScript, you’ll lead experiments, MVPs, and product launches that accelerate our self-serve growth engine. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US.

In this role, you will: 

  • Manage a team of full-stack engineers to deliver customer-driven solutions in a fast-paced environment. The technology stack includes JavaScript, Vue, Python, GraphQL, and various AWS services. 
  • Support the growth of individual engineers on your team through mentoring/coaching and career-pathing.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to drive technical strategy.
  • Set quarterly goals and balance product/engineering priorities for maximum impact
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to develop new products and enhance existing ones.
  • Drive roadmapping discussions and collaborate with our partners across the organization to influence the direction of our initiatives in a manner that best serves our customers
  • Perform code reviews and ensure proper design and delivery of major features
  • ​​Be hands-on and contribute to feature development
  • Set a high standard for the reliability of your components
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
  • Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team
