This is a hybrid opportunity with 10% travel (including international). On-site location can be anywhere existing EMEA or US engineering location.

Principal Project Engineer (Westinghouse AP300)

MUST HAVE current or prior experience with Westinghouse AP300, AP1000 and/or Nuclear Design.

 

The AP Technology Deployment department is looking for 4 principal project engineers to deliver the AP300 product development project.

 

The project engineers will report to the AP300 Project Engineering Manager and be assigned to one or several technical areas. Their specific responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Work with support of Functional Area Lead(s) to ensure progress and scope execution.

  • Responsible for the managing the schedule and budgeting

  • Lead point of contact for Functional Area Leads and Project Coordinator

  • Responsible for discipline representation in the Product Development Review Meeting (PDRM) discussed in Section 3.2

  • Supports the Project Engineering Manager and Design Technical Lead as required

 

What we need to see from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience

  • Previous experience with Westinghouse AP300, AP1000 and/or Nuclear Design.

  • Ability to travel internationally as projects required up to 10%

Cognizance in at least one of the following technical areas:

  • Nuclear systems design

  • Turbine Island/Balance of Plant systems or structural design

  • NSSS components design and analyses

  • Piping layout and/or analysis

  • Licensing

  • Plant layout integration

  • Digital Design (configuration control)

  • Civil, Structural and Architectural engineering

  • Electrical design

  • Effective oral and written communications

  • Ability to establish effective networks across various functional areas

 

Location: anywhere at an existing EMEA or US engineering locations.
