About the role:
We are a fast-paced, creative, and customer-oriented team with employees in San Francisco, Atlanta, and London. We are looking for a manager to help lead our North American Returns and Fulfillment team. This opportunity requires someone who holds the customer experience as paramount and thinks across groups to enable an operation that runs like clockwork.
Our customers range from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. It is a high growth business that demands operational enhancements in process, applications, and business systems automation. Candidates must be demonstrated leaders as this is a large team spread over 2 locations.
This is an onsite position open to candidates based in Louisville, Kentucky.

In this role, you will:
- Interface with Reliability and Operations teams to understand program priorities and timelines
- Coordinate and manage the repair and refurbishment process for returned items at our US-based 3PL locations
- Evaluate the condition of returned goods and determine appropriate disposition
- Provide support to day to day Returns and Fulfillment operations
- Provide regular direction on priorities and team activities
- Main point of contact for day to day escalations
- Help ensure flawless execution during end-of-quarter periods
- Assist with inventory and quality engineering related projects for our hardware, cables, and accessories
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Ability to work onsite 90-100% in Louisville, Kentucky
- Domain expertise in sales order processing for B2B business like SaaS, hardware, or software products
- 2+ years experience as an operations manager, or relevant experience in operations field required
- B.A./B.S. required, preferably in a business or operations discipline
- Familiarity with reverse logistics, refurbishment, and material review board processes
- Strong spoken and written language skills for working with multiple teams and publishing documentation
- Familiarity with many business systems solutions for order modifications and handling fulfillment transactions between applications
