Sr. Systems Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Systems Security Engineer with a focus on Multilevel Security (MLS), you will play a crucial role in analyzing, defining, designing, developing, and implementing advanced security solutions to address MLS issues. Your expertise will contribute to the implementation and development of MLS systems, ensuring the highest levels of security for our organization's mission-critical assets. This role requires a deep understanding of security protocols, risk assessment, and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and define security requirements pertaining to Multilevel Security (MLS) challenges. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and assess security needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Design, develop, engineer, and implement robust security solutions that address MLS requirements. Utilize your extensive technical expertise to create effective solutions that mitigate security risks and enhance the overall security posture.
• Take ownership of the implementation and ongoing development of Multilevel Security systems. Ensure seamless integration of MLS solutions within the organization's infrastructure while adhering to industry best practices and standards.
• Gather and organize technical information related to the organization's mission objectives, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the MLS domain. Stay informed about the latest developments in MLS technologies and incorporate relevant advancements into your work.
• Perform comprehensive risk analyses, including risk assessments, to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats within MLS systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation strategies and recommend appropriate security measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in analysis and definition of security requirements.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in systems security engineering, with a strong focus on Multilevel Security (MLS) concepts.
• 5+ years of specialized experience in defining computer security requirements for high-level applications, evaluation of approved security product capabilities, and d
• Profound knowledge of MLS principles, security protocols, and best practices.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing security solutions for complex MLS environments.
• Strong expertise in risk analysis and assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with MLS technologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CISM, or related credentials are a plus.
