Accounting Analyst

The Accounting Analyst is part of the Accounting Services team at Millennium and is responsible with assisting month end closes, analyses, management reporting, and other ad hoc assignments.

This position demands an analytical approach to problem-solving, as well as outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills. It requires you have a keen eye for detail and able to deliver in a fast-paced, demanding environment while remaining calm under pressure.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Responsible for completing and reviewing month-end activities, such as:

  • Accruals and prepayments

  • Detailed Cost Center expense allocations

  • Bank account Reconciliation

  • Intercompany settlements and reconciliation

  •  Fixed Assets subledger (capitalization and depreciation/amortization entries)

• Prepare weekly expense projections

• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual account variance analysis on standalone and consolidated entity level

• Coordinate opening new bank accounts and maintaining bank relationships

• Interact with various groups within and outside of Finance for expense and budget related requests and/or queries

• Assist with various ad-hoc accounting projects

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred (ideally a minimum of 3.5 GPA)

• Minimum of 2-3 years of corporate accounting and/or accounts payables experience

• Strong problem solving, analytical, written, verbal communications skills

• Strong interpersonal and client services skills

• Strong technical proficiency with MS Office (Excel) and web applications

• Ability to multi-task as well as meet short deadlines in a demanding environment

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

• Solid analytical skills and judgment – strong attention to detail

• Strong team player and work efficiently independently

• Oracle Cloud and Tableau experience is a plus but not required

The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $160,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
