Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach high school-level mathematics in a small classroom setting, managing daily instruction and promoting positive classroom behavior.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and projects that align with academic standards while remaining responsive to student interests and learning levels.
  • Adapt instruction and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with IEPs or behavioral support plans.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of academic progress and classroom updates.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including special educators, behavior consultants, and administrators—to ensure individualized support for each student.
  • Contribute to a positive school culture and help students meet both academic and personal growth goals.

Hiring rate is based on experience, education, and internal equity. Final compensation will be determined in accordance with NCSS policy and applicable laws.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Math Education, or a closely related field preferred.

Valid teaching license or certification in secondary mathematics – or eligibility to obtain one.

Equivalent experience in mathematics instruction or a related field
