About the role
ABOUT THE ROLE:Second Front Systems (2F) is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Program Manager to support our Security team. We are a fast-growing entrepreneurial team working at the convergence of technology and national security. The work will be dynamic and wide-ranging supporting Engineering leadership and Program Management in the security and accreditation of our current product, Game Warden.Reporting directly to the Principal Security Engineer, this role will define and manage the agile framework and processes for each security team and deliverable. The role will be responsible for balancing multiple delivery trains for 4 distinct agile teams.
Note: This position requires U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements.

What You’ll Do:As our Cybersecurity Program Manager, you will be responsible for organizing and overseeing the security and accreditation aspects of Game Warden and other future products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including the Engineering, Customer Operations, Product Management, Growth and others , to ensure timely accreditation of new environments and continued accreditation of existing environments.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Act as the team’s scrum master to manage agile sprint ceremonies, groom the security team backlog, drive multiple release trains, and communicate execution priorities while balancing short term needs against long term goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the security strategy is aligned with the company's overall business strategy. This may involve presenting security posture and accreditation updates to senior executives, working with engineering teams to implement required controls, and briefings to auditors.
- Create and maintain a program roadmap that outlines the program's development and release schedule. This may involve setting deadlines, prioritizing features, and determining milestones.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define high level requirements for the program. This may include creating user stories, milestones, and MVPs, as well as collaborating with engineers to ensure technical feasibility.
- Managing the Game Warden customer security experience: Oversee the security process to ensure the customer onboarding experience is streamlined and effectively evaluates SaaS security posture in accordance with GW PaaS requirements. This may include communicating with the Customer Operations team, directly with customers, and tracking project status.
- Tracking performance: Track key security metrics, such as security events and team productivity, to evaluate the product's performance and make data-driven decisions about future trade-offs.
Skills You’ll Bring to Our Team:
- Experience with sprint planning, daily stand-ups, refinement, backlog grooming, retrospectives for engineering teams and cybersecurity
- Familiarly with managing two-week sprints
- Exposure to owning rigorous prioritization
- Manage the customer deployment process
- Experience running multiple deliveries/release trains concurrently
- Awareness of Defense Systems or DoD Initiatives
- Experience managing efforts required (both technical implementation and policy) to obtain and maintain Department of Defense cybersecurity accreditation: ATO, NIST 800-53, and/or FEDRAMP
- Strong attention to detail, precise written communication, and ability execute
- Experience with a fast paced environment, preferably a start-up
- Strong collaboration with Engineering, Security, Operations, and Customer-facing teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrum Master
- Security Clearance strongly preferred
- Have a strong interest in matters of national security
