What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Serve as a subject matter expert within medical affairs for assigned disease areas and products
- Act company-wide as the primary medical contact for assigned products
- Cross-functionally develop and drive implementation of the global asset strategy ensuring a patient-centric approach
- Guide & lead scientific discussion and develop scientific/medical story flow for assigned products
- Accountable for providing medical and scientific expertise for license to operate activities such as medical information, label discussions, dossiers and benefit-risk assessments in collaboration with drug safety and regulatory affairs
- Lead interaction with affiliates and partners, ensure compliant and aligned communication and handle medical queries for assigned products
- Create, review and maintain medical education content, internal trainings and other material for assigned products and respective disease areas
- Participate in the development and provide medical review to promotional materials
- Generate insights through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor new trends or competitive entrants that could affect assigned products
- Lead evaluation and support of Investigator Initiative Trials (IITs, NITs) and RWE initiatives where applicable
- Drive innovation of medical affairs within the established medicines environment
What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- MD or PhD in life sciences
- +5 years medical affairs local experience; ideally in established medicines
- Above country (regional or global) experience is an advantage
- Experience in specific requirements and processes for medical information, regulatory and/or safety documents
- Experience with digital/omnichannel communication
- Experience with complex business environments and matrix organization
- Experience in pain/CNS therapy areas is a plus
- Sound understanding of the specific environment of established medicines and the respective role of medical affairs
- Ability to work both independently and in a team and to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively
- Team player, solution driven, cross-functional, collaborative mindset
- Fluency in Business English, additional language beneficial
