ID.me is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Commissions Accounting & Administration to join our growing Accounting organization. Reporting into the Controller, this role will own the end-to-end process for calculating, validating, and accounting for sales commissions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience implementing and managing commission systems (preferably CaptivateIQ) and thrives in a dynamic SaaS environment where sales structures and compensation plans are evolving. This position requires strong analytical skills, accounting acumen, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, FP&A, and Revenue Operations.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end monthly commission calculation process within CaptivateIQ, including validation and timely payroll submission for commission payouts ensuring accuracy and completeness by deal and by person.
- Review and validate deal data from Salesforce and signed contracts, reconciling discrepancies and coordinating with GTM and FP&A teams for ACV inputs.
- Partner with Accounting to prepare monthly commission accruals, forecast, capitalization (ASC 340-40), and related journal entries.
- Provide detailed reporting and insights on commissions by person, team, and deal.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the GTM organization, addressing commission-related inquiries and ensuring clear communication of payout details.
- Investigate and proactively identify missing or anomalous deals, providing recommendations or corrections as needed.
- Assist with the implementation, optimization, and documentation of commission system processes, including CaptivateIQ enhancements and integrations.
- Provide input on compensation plan design and scalability, drawing from prior experience in similar SaaS environments.
- Support Accounting leadership with audit requests, controls documentation, and process improvements.
Ideal Qualifications
The qualifications below are ideal, but not all are required. We encourage candidates to apply if they satisfy some, but not all of the qualifications.
- 5–8 years of experience in Accounting, Revenue Operations, or Commissions Administration, preferably in a SaaS or high-growth technology environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and Salesforce data investigation.
- Experience with Commissions processing software (e.g. CaptivateIQ, Everstage, etc.) preferred
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 and ASC 340-40 as they relate to commission accounting and capitalization.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to provide customer service to GTM team members.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal direction from management in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
