Senior Data Engineer, IT Corporate

IT Corporate is a Nordic IT unit with close to 60 employees and consultants divided into three teams. We are responsible for systems and IT solutions for If's corporate units such as Accounting, Cash Management, Marketing, Legal and HR. 
 
To strengthen our support for ongoing business and tech transformation, we are seeking a passionate Senior Data Engineer to support the implementation of our IT Corporate Data platform using Databricks and Azure Data Factory.

About the role 
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to implement our IT Corporate Data Platform using Databricks and Azure Data Factory. This role is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals looking to take on a pivotal role in a dynamic environment. You will be part of a dedicated team from the very beginning, building our new platform and shaping its functionality and design. This is a unique opportunity to influence and create something extraordinary from the ground up.  

You will be responsible for designing and creating data models, implementing ELT processes, and ensuring compliance with data governance and security best practices. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative financial solutions for all Nordic and Baltic countries. 

This position will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile way of working to streamline development processes and ensure seamless integration of financial data. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to build our new Azure platform and work closely with other stakeholders and teams across different units. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Support establishment of the IT Corporate Data platform using Databricks, Azure Data Factory and other Azure related services. 

• Design and create data models that enforce business requirements. 

• Implement ELT processes for Delta Lake loading using Databricks/Azure Data Factory Pipelines. 

• Design and implement scalable and efficient data storage solutions for serverless processing. 

• Troubleshoot technical issues related to Databricks/Azure Data Factory, Power BI, DevOps and test automations.  

• Ensure compliance with FSA guidelines, data governance, and security best practices. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data and business analysts. 

• Communicate and present technical concepts, challenges, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
