The Job:  

As a Technical Data Specialist, you’ll be part of our Supply Chain team as a hybrid employee.    You’ll get to:  

• Administrate and update the manufacturing ERP system (SBD uses SAP) to support the manufacturing site.
• You will interact with multiple functions within a manufacturing environment to establish and implement master data critical to the daily running of the business.
• Responsible for SAP functions such as:
  • Create Material Masters.
  • Change, extend, and obsolete part numbers using Change Masters.
  • Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Alternate BOMs.  Calculate BOM quantities. 
  • Maintain BOM yields per instructions from Finance.
  • Create and maintain BOMs for OSP/SUBC (Outside Processing).
  • Create and maintain Production Versions (PVs).
  • Create and maintain Routes as well as alternate routes.
  • Work with finance and manufacturing engineering to establish and maintain work centers.
  • Manage part discontinuation (NOD).
• Maintain ISO Procedures that apply to the Technical Data Specialist job function.
• Maintain documents to support the building of parts and BOMs.
• Maintain documents to support SAP process rates.
• Monitor plant-level “Temporary Change” documents for potential changes to processes and process rates.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineers to conduct audits on processes to capture changed process rates.
• Interact with plant-level Engineering Changes (LECNs) for the East Longmeadow (ELM) plant. 
  • Windchill is used to manage workflow for plant level LECNs changes made to the product or process.  Tasks need to be reviewed and once completed, signed off within Windchill

• More than 3 years’ experience working with SAP in a factory floor environment.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Experience doing Time Studies and setting Work Standards is a plus.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Good English written and oral communication skills.
