Description

We are seeking an Security Systems Coordinator to help keep our community safe. We support Emory Healthcare's mantra of "We're all in this together." SHIFT: 6:45a-3:15p (Part-Time)

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Provides a safe and secure environment for quality care by coordinating all Security Control Center functions and security systems at Emory Healthcare, staff supervision of Desk Officers and Control Center Technicians, and maintaining of Public Safety records under the general supervision of hospital's public safety leadership team.
  • Answers questions, gives directions, elicits information required to determine an appropriate response, broadcasts radio messages, and gives commands in emergencies.
  • Monitors and rewinds to electronic security systems.
  • Conducts programmed checks of all technical security systems, identifies end corrects problems or initiates service call to vendor as appropriate.
  • Trains other personnel to perform the photo-id card functions and supervises their activities.
  • May provide staff supervision of Control Center Technicians and other personnel as assigned to the Security Control Center, and advises watch commanders and department director regarding their performance.
  • Enters and retrieves data, and maintains log entries, Uses word processing software to prepare reports, directives and procedures.
  • Maintains departmental files and ensures the availability of all crime, incident and other reports as required.
  • Takes photo-ID card pictures, enters data into AccesControl System, makes photo-ID cards, including the issue and recovery of photo-ID cards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Two years of college.
  • Two years of related information technology experience.
  • A knowledge of various personal computer software applications.
