About the role
- Create business architecture models that reflect the organization’s strategies and goals.
- Integrate the project and program strategies and ensure alignment with business strategies and drivers, and management priorities
- Identify ways to reduce costs in IT and business leadership
- Evaluate systems for discrepancies or vulnerabilities
- Conduct research to find ways to improve operations
- Provide business architecture and systems processing guidance
- Create and implement a business vision and multi-year plan
- Support the rationalisation of IT systems.
- Elaborate architectural vision.
- Conduct architecture maturity assessments.
- Produce architectural recommendations.
- Frame architectural corporate recommendations into the enterprise architecture framework.
- Define and progressive implement an enterprise architecture framework in DG GROW.
- Ensure consistent and sound architectural decision taking in the projects of the Unit.
- Develop, enhance and assist with the implementation of existing architectures.
- Coordinate the EA function and provide effective leadership to analysts or architects under his/her coordination
- Coordinate contributions to corporate requests in the EA and EPMO area.
- Coordinate and contribute to the application of the principles of the new EC Digital Strategy in DG GROW.
- Manage projects in the scope of the EA or EPMO office.
- Production of studies.
- Conduct As-Is and To-be situation analysis and gap analysis.
- Conduct cost estimation.
- Conduct costs/benefit analysis.
- Chair committees, coordinate the preparation of topics to discuss.
