As our Printing Press Operator, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting printing press to meet daily production and quality goals.
- Analyzing issues, providing innovative ideas for improvements, and determining/implementing solutions
- Reading and following all information on artwork folder pertaining to a specific job
- Ensuring all necessary components to produce the job are present and accounted for
- Registering press using automatic register systems
- Consistently balancing ink and water for highest quality of printing
- Achieving acceptable color within specified Make Ready standards
- Conducting a smooth transition between shifts to gain all information without interruption to production.
- Verifies the sales or work order to identify printing and production requirements for each order.
- Verifies the product/materials being used to set up machine for thickness, artwork requirements, etc.
- Match colors to the proof based on previous artwork, feedback or sample card and maintain color throughout the run.
- Performing first article inspection prior to doing full production run to verify appropriate programming and quality.
- Working in a clean room environment and follow all policies and procedures.

- Must possess the ability to work at a fast pace with very high attention to detail.
- Accepts and embraces constant change as a necessary factor to success.
- Must have flexibility to work overtime as required (including weekends) and periodically work a different shift.
- Requires the ability to learn, use and maintain specialized equipment. Lean manufacturing and/or quality control training preferred.
- Previous participation on a safety team and/or other safety training a plus

- High school diploma or equivalent required<
