Transaction Monitoring Global Lead

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for building and maintaining metrics to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the team as well as manage, lead and develop the team's capability and efficiency
• Lead large global operational team supporting regulatory requirements, operational support, and subject matter expertise for businesses in multiple jurisdictions
• Develop, motivate, mentor, and coach team members from across the globe in various aspects of running a highly effective transaction monitoring program
• Drive cross functional projects to completion, enhancing our transaction monitoring capabilities and managing the company’s risk exposure
• Communicate at an expert level with stakeholders from across the business, executives, regulators, and strategic partners  
• Develop and author reports, metrics, proposals, and analysis docs providing clear and concise information to support decision making 
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the Compliance program, manage risk, and support the customer experience
• Enhance validation of control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, rules and regulations
• Contribute to efforts to develop a strong compliance culture and increase organizational awareness of compliance roles and responsibilities
• Use strong relationships with business unit managers to increase the likelihood of timely completion of compliance activities and responses to reports issued by regulatory agencies or audit
• Implement corrective action and issue tracking in alignment with established policies
• Strong knowledge on provisions of laws, directives, regulations and otherwise standards applicable to subject persons and knowledge of upcoming regulation of virtual currency policies is a strong plus
• Review work product produced by the team and appropriately escalate issues to leadership
• Proficiency in compliance applications and programmes such as Thomson Reuters Worldcheck, Jumio, Chainalysis, Elliptic, case management systems, MIS reporting, etc
• Must be a “hands-on” or “roll up the sleeves” self-motivated type of leader

Responsibilities:

• Minimum of 15 years experience working in a compliance role with 5 years leading a global Transaction Monitoring team
• Crypto on-chain monitoring experience a plus
• Proven experience and knowledge in AML regulations, criminal typologies, audit/exam management, operational leadership
• Strong technical communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex topics to non-expert audiences and ability to liaise with and influence stakeholders across the organisation
• Professional certifications are a plus: i.e. CAMS, CFE, etc
