Lead Software Engineer

** This is a direct hire position for one of our clients. This position is fully remote indefinitely. Candidates must be able to work in the US without sponsorship. **

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer for our client to join their dynamic and innovative team. As the Lead Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and driving their web-based software development projects to success. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking team environment, where creativity and technical excellence thrive.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
• Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and other engineering teams.
• Play a critical role in architecture, design, and development decisions.
• Develop project plans, allocate resources, and ensure timely project delivery.
• Break down projects into manageable tasks and transform acceptance criteria into results.
• Demonstrate expertise in C#, .NET/Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, SQL Server, Data modeling, JavaScript, and React.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work independently with self-motivation while being a strong team player.
• Adapt to new technologies and methodologies quickly.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in web-based software development.
• Strong understanding of C#, .NET/Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, SQL Server, Data modeling, JavaScript, and React.
• Skilled in project planning and execution.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Fast learner and a team player.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Cloud computing (Amazon AWS).
• CMS solutions development experience.
• Agile, Scrum, Kanban experience.
• Ability to work remotely.
• Test-driven development and test automation expertise.
• Mastery of Slack emojis and GIFs.
