General Engineering Tech I or II with Managed Lanes

TxDOT's Dallas District Managed Lanes Department is looking for a self‑driven General Engineering Tech I or II to support transportation operations along our managed lane corridors. This role includes daily corridor inspections of our roadways such as IH 30, IH35E and SH 183, identifying and reporting damage, issuing contractor call‑outs and maintaining accurate documentation and contract compliance. You’ll also prepare monthly estimates and work closely with contractors and internal teams to keep our network running safely and efficiently. This position is for one (1) General Engineering Tech I or II depending on business needs and the applicants' qualifications.  The Texas Department of Transportation reserves the sole right in determining the level of position based on the applicants' work experience, skill level and all other appropriate factors, and based on business needs.
