About the role

This employee is responsible for the operation of a center with sales and supervision of the center employees.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interview, hire, train, and supervise quality candidates
  • Make sales calls on existing and potential customers on a regular basis
    • Requires having complete product/service knowledge
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with DONs, administrators, clinicians, executive leadership, and others responsible for vendor relationships
  • Implement safety programs including maintaining records in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations that apply to OSHA, DOT, and FDA as outlined in the Safety & Regulatory Manual including the enforcement of employees to wear Personal Protective Equipment at the appropriate times and the enforcement of the Vehicle Safety Disciplinary Policy
  • Controls inventory and purchasing of equipment and supplies through the central purchasing function
  • Grow the customer base through excellence in customer service
  • Responsible for the profitability of the center and for implementing and directing cost controls
  • Ensure the accuracy of public information materials
  • Maintain a fleet of leased vehicles
    • establish a routine preventive maintenance program and follow up of major maintenance
    • Record keeping and inspections of vehicles is a critical part of the responsibility
  • May be required to perform equipment setups in the nursing facility
  • May be required to perform on-call responsibilities on a rotational basis with other employees in the center
    • Includes responding to call outs at night and weekends to provide the service normally done by a service representative
Qualifications
  • Human relations skills critical
    • position requires dealing extensively with regulatory personnel, referral sources, and corporate personnel
  • Computer literacy is a must

Education and Experience:

  • BS or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of one-year experience in marketing of respiratory products or services
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lincare products
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
    • primary responsibility for total operations of a Lincare center

Physical Demands:

The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
