About the role

Associate Marketing Director, Vintage Books (Open to Remote)

Marketing at Vintage Books, an imprint of Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group, seeks an Associate Marketing Director to join the team. Reporting to the Executive Marketing Director, the innovative and enthusiastic associate director will create and execute strategic marketing campaigns across cutting-edge contemporary fiction with the Vintage Trade Paperback Originals, as well as time-honored classics across the Vintage backlist, while also managing the Vintage social media channels. This is an excellent opportunity to work with teams throughout Penguin Random House—and campaign for the consistently selling titles that consumers most want to read at Vintage Books.

The Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group is a storied leader in commercial and literary publishing and home to some of the most iconic authors in the world, including Nobel Laureates Toni Morrison, Kazuo Ishiguro, and Alice Munro; Prize-winners Robert Caro, Joan Didion, Yaa Gyasi, Jhumpa Lahiri, Cormac McCarthy, Michael Ondaatje, Tommy Orange, Patti Smith, Anne Tyler, and Colson Whitehead; and global bestsellers Dan Brown, John Grisham, Erin Morgenstern, and Jo Nesbo.

The experienced associate director will be highly motivated, enthusiastic about publishing, and enjoys reading broadly and often. We are looking for a detail-oriented, meticulous self-starter who loves books of all types and is invested in the process of bringing them to a wide multicultural readership, has strong writing and analytical skills, communicates clearly, is comfortable asking for help when needed, and wants to be an active participant on a collaborative team.

Please apply using our ATS system by April 4, 2024, and include your resume and cover letter for consideration. Before applying for any role at Penguin Random House, we recommend you review our applicant resources page and look over our open-to-remote guidelines on our FAQs page.
