What You’ll Do:
As a Clinician, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of children who have experienced significant hardship. You’ll provide assessments, therapy, and case coordination in a culturally responsive and bilingual environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- 🎓 Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- 🧠 Licensed to practice in the state of Michigan (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, etc.)
- 🚗 Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
- 📄 Proof of current auto insurance
- 🌍 Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
- ❤️ Passion for working with children and families from diverse backgrounds

Samaritas provides services to youth who have traveled to the US for safety apart from their family or guardians. These youth are given status in the United States as Unaccompanied Children (UC). The children you will be serving will come from diverse and oftentimes traumatic backgrounds, and are placed in both foster home and group home settings where Samaritas provides case management, therapy, and other supportive services. The program also helps these youth adjust to the customs and culture of the United States while pursuing their goals of education, English-language learning, and independence. As the Unaccompanied Children (UC) Long Term Foster Care Clinician, you will be responsible for providing trauma-informed treatment planning and delivery to youth. The Clinician completes assessments of youth and offer consultation to Case Managers on cases. In addition to conducting individual therapy sessions, the Clinician role will also be required to facilitate group counseling sessions to program youth. This position is expected to function effectively with moderate supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
