SUMMARY <br />
As an Embedded Systems Engineer at Wilson Tool, you will combine expertise in software development and electrical engineering to design, develop, and test electronic systems that support innovative tooling and tooling related systems. You will be intimately involved in the architecture decisions that will shape our products. You will design advanced instrumentation platforms, innovative simulation technologies, and various complex software tools working with a team of highly skilled mechanical and electrical engineers to deliver groundbreaking solutions in line with Wilson Tool's mission to make our customers the most successful sheet metal manufacturers in the world. <br />
Embedded Systems Engineers are expected to collaborate in the preparation of schematics/drawings, designs, computations, and reports and to work in cross‐functional teams to accomplish high‐level engineering systems goals. <br />
This role will contribute to the growth of Wilson Tool by helping to drive decisions among competing engineering trade‐offs. You will be working closely with product managers and R&amp;D engineers to ensure we are building the right solution for our customers.     <br />
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br />
•    Designing and Developing Systems: Creating and implementing so ware solutions and electronic systems, including embedded systems, control systems, and user interfaces. <br />
•    Collaborating with Teams: Working closely with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and other professionals to ensure the integration of so ware with hardware components. <br />
•    Testing and Troubleshooting: Conducting tests to ensure the functionality and reliability of systems and troubleshooting issues that arise during development and deployment including electrical debugging, working with PCBs, schematics, multimeters, and signal analysis. <br />
•    Documentation: Preparing and maintaining detailed documentation, such as user manuals, system specifications, and maintenance schedules. <br />
•    Safety and Compliance: Ensuring that all designs and systems comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements such as CE and UL. <br />
•    Continuous Learning: Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory standards to enhance system performance and efficiency. <br />
•    Performs independently on most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected. Documents work and reviews progress and results with manager. <br />
•    Develop and optimize work instructions and procedures. <br />
•    Identifies the root cause of embedded system issues, implements corrective actions for those relating to design, and communicates findings to other team members or to those responsible for other types of issues. <br />
•    Interfaces with R&amp;D Engineers, Production, and/or supplier to resolve manufacturing, quality, equipment, product design, and/or component issues so as to meet the company’s objectives. <br />
•    Communicates well orally and in writing. Able to present ideas and proposals to all levels of the organization. <br />
•    Participates in design reviews. Communicates with applicable resources to assess manufacturing feasibility and potential issues of product changes and new products. <br />
•    Performs other assignments as directed <br />
 <br />
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS <br />
•    Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in embedded system design and a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field <br />
•    C/C++, Python, XML <br />
•    Microcontroller system development •     App development (Android and iOS) <br />
•    Knowledge of communication protocols and technologies such as RS485, I2C, Ethernet, Modbus, CAN bus, Bluetooth, IIoT <br />
 <br />
•    GUI development experience <br />
•    Ability to design and build electrical circuits for prototyping/testing <br />
•    Experience with electrical test hardware (multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.) <br />
•    Familiarity with mechanical concepts <br />
•    Being able to think creatively while troubleshooting <br />
•    Innovative thinking and problem‐solving skills <br />
•    Must be a self‐starter <br />
•    Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to effectively communicate with all areas of the organization <br />
•    Willingness to undertake overtime and some travel (domestic and International) as required by project demands <br />
•    Quick learner with a flexible approach to handle various tasks, including programming, documentation, testing, and demos <br />

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE <br />
•    5 ‐ 10 years of experience embedded system design <
