About the role

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the procurement and assembly of electrical/electronic components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve basic technical issues

Perform electro-mechanical technical functions and activities on research and development test stands in order to learn Applied Materials’ tools and processes

Operate and maintain test stands by setting up and running experiments, optimizing tool parameters, repairing hardware failures, and performing periodic maintenance

Design or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of limited scope under direct supervision

Perform basic engineering analysis under direct supervision

Perform and generate basic engineering test reports under direct supervision Generate related documentation for product release

Troubleshoot a variety of basic electrical problems

Effective use of engineering processes in the resolution of generally difficult electrical problems of limited scope

Functional Knowledge

  • Demonstrates conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within a discipline 
  • Demonstrates competence in computer operating systems and software
  • Proficiency in Excel is required.

  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience

  • No supervisory responsibilities; accountable for developing technical contribution

  • Uses existing procedures to solve standard problems; analyzes information and standard practices to make judgments

U.S. Salary Range:

$68,000.00 - $93,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
