Key Responsibilities The Utah State Hospital is an in-patient psychiatric facility, responsible for the total care of our patients while they stay with us. Psychiatric Technicians are part of the nursing department and assist with maintaining a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for our patients.

About the Role
We currently offer full time, Time Limited (TL) acuity pool positions. Medical insurance benefits are available and start day one for our full-time employees. Upon completion of training, new psychiatric technicians are invited to transition into a full time benefited (Schedule B) position on a designated unit, subject to the needs of the hospital. Additional benefits of moving from a Time Limited position to a Schedule B position include paid holidays, annual and sick leave accruals, and elective benefit options, including dental and vison insurance.The State of Utah offers eligible employees a variety of benefits.
