In this role, you'll be at the heart of our production process, ensuring our machines are calibrated to produce top-notch components. You'll work with a variety of CNC machines, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. As a CNC Setup and Operate Team member at Klein Tools, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC-controlled machines and other equipment. You will measure and examine parts to ensure conformance, maintain inventory of tools, and keep a clean work environment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines.
• Maintain inventory of tools and fixtures.
• Ensure parts conform to specifications through precise measurements and inspections.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Operate CNC machines, drill presses, marking machines, depth and conventional micrometers, gauges, and assorted hand tools.
• Use forklifts, tote pan carts, trucks, skids, cutting tools, fixtures, and fixture components.
• Work with forgings, various types of steel, lubricants, cutting tools, cutting oils, and coolant.
Basic Qualifications:
• Must pass CNC setup and operation test.
• Ability to work with multiple coordinate systems.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments.
• Experience in record generation and retention.
• Ability to operate a crane and a forklift.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions and procedures in English.
• Basic computer skills.
