About the Role:
The Relationship Manager provides essential relationship coordination, communication support, and stakeholder management for the Growth team while working closely with the Programs team to ensure smooth execution and alignment. This role is designed for a highly organized, people-oriented individual who excels at maintaining professional relationships, tracking commitments, and ensuring that stakeholders (volunteers, instructors, speakers, mentors, panelists, monetary and non-monetary partners) have a positive, well-supported experience.
The role does not own the fundraising strategy or program design. Instead, it serves as a connector and steward, managing ongoing relationships, coordinating logistics, and supporting communication workflows that enable Growth and Programs to operate effectively.
This is a full-time, fully remote position that can be performed anywhere in the U.S.
The role comes with a competitive salary and benefits, including generous PTO and sick leave, health insurance reimbursement, 401K matching, and short-term disability coverage.
Responsibilities:
Relationship & Stakeholder Support:
- Recruit and manage volunteers (speakers / guest speakers, mentors, and panelists) through execution of outreach strategies, maintaining a database of volunteers, tracking progress to interdepartmental program goals, and maintaining communication and engagement with prior volunteers throughout the year.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for program volunteers (speakers / guest speakers, mentors, and panelists), ensuring consistent, professional communication.
- Support onboarding and offboarding of volunteers in coordination with Programs.
- Respond to questions, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with monetary and non-monetary partners through regular updates and coordinated touchpoints.
- Track relationship history, commitments, availability, and engagement in internal systems.
- Submit end-of-day relationship updates summarizing key communications, stakeholder concerns, required follow-ups, and next-day priorities.
- Attend a weekly 15-30 minute check-in with the Head of Growth and submit a weekly written report covering stakeholder updates (risks, progress, and operational highlights).
Growth ↔ Programs Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between the Growth and Programs teams to support alignment on:
- Volunteer needs
- Program staffing timelines
- Partner expectations related to general and program delivery
- Support Growth team initiatives by ensuring program-side details are accurately communicated and tracked.
- Communicate changes, risks, or gaps proactively to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate schedules, confirmations, and handoffs related to volunteer placement.
Communication & Documentation:
- Draft and send relationship-focused communications to relevant stakeholders after Growth team review.
- Assist with preparation of partner updates and impact reports or communications.
- Maintain organized records of communications, agreements, and follow-ups.
- Ensure relationship-related documentation is accurate, up to date, and accessible.
Operational & Administrative Support:
- Maintain CRM and additional internal trackers related to aforementioned stakeholders.
- Track and Support relevant departments with relevant engagement metrics and trends that support Growth reporting.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting follow-ups with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide flexible support during peak program and fundraising periods.
- Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies and flag them for Growth leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education and Experience: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 1-3 years of professional experience in hospitality, customer service, banking, account management, operations, or administrative support roles.
- Passion and Belief in Youth Pot
