College of Dentistry Sr. Lab Technician - Temporary Help Pool

Pay starts at $15.00 per hour 

Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm

This position is not benefit-eligible.

The purpose of this position is to provide specialized technical support in the day-to-day operation of the Dunn Dental Instructional laboratories to include the Dental Technique and Dental Hygiene Laboratories. 

This position supports the Dental Simulation Lab in a variety of duties including preparing instructional materials and models, monitoring equipment, ensure lab spaces are ready and clean for sessions.  Assist students and faculty with techniques, procedures, and operation equipment. 

Candidates for this role will have a strong ability to communicate in both written and oral forms. Ability to be flexible and cooperative. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks. Skills in demonstrating techniques one-on-one and in small groups. Punctual and reliable.

Daily job duties will include the following and others as assigned:
- Participation in the operation of the dental lab.

- Cleaning and sterilization of instruments.
- Prepare various stone and plaster models.
- Distribution of appropriate instruments and supplies to dental students and faculty.

- Maintain dental instrument cassettes.

- Ordering and maintaining supplies.

 Position requirements include: 

Knowledge of OSHA guidelines, sterilization protocols, and hazardous materials.

High School Diploma or GED

Associate's Degree

Vocational or Technical Training - Certified Dental Technician
